Loco Burger Campaign
Lanch GmbH (Brand: Loco Burger)
For the release of the Crispy Loco Chicken Burgers, we developed a campaign styled after Breaking Bad – just the way we love it: fully integrated from the concept idea to the final production.
The result: an advertisement that perfectly combined pop culture, humor, and brand world.
The look and feel were inspired by Los Pollos Hermanos, with Luciano portraying Gustavo Fring, flanked by Frederic Lau as Jesse Pinkman and a Heisenberg double from Paris.
The storyline translated the iconic lab scene from the series into the world of burger preparation, including Easter eggs for upcoming Loco products like the Loco Snacks.
Additionally, an extensive photo production was created to visually extend the campaign motif and further sharpen the Loco brand image.
A release that not only whetted appetites but also united entertainment, brand story, and viral impact into one.
Challenge & Solution
The campaign achieved outstanding resonance within the target audience – with comments like: "Best commercial I've ever seen."
The mix of humor, pop culture, and clear brand identity struck a chord with the community and made the spot a real topic of conversation.
A campaign that not only generated reach but also created brand loyalty through entertainment – authentic, loud, and culturally relevant.
We had only 4 hours with Luciano and Frederic Lau to film the commercial — a very limited timeframe for a complex, character-driven concept.
We used smart scene blocking, doubles, and efficient set-ups to keep production moving swiftly without cutting quality.
The concept called for a tricky transition — a match cut from a laboratory style scene to a tasting moment — which would normally require specialist gear.
We engineered a custom top-down rig and a DIY production solution that achieved high-production value results on a tight budget.
