Zellerfeld presented the Nike Air Max 1000 in collaboration with Nike at ComplexCon in Las Vegas! Nike's first 3D-printed sneaker – made in Germany. We had the privilege of accompanying the entire process with Zellerfeld: from concept creation, through presentations at Nike HQ in Portland, to the creative direction of the global release activation at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.
The goal was to globally manifest the technological and cultural relevance of Zellerfeld together with Nike through live activations, storytelling, and experience design.
The Zellerfeld x Nike booth connected the historical Air Max timeline with prototypes and the development process of the new model.
Highlight: interactive slot machines, through which visitors could "unlock" the new shoes, symbolically bridging innovation and gamification.
Challenge & Solution
Zellerfeld had finally outgrown its (3D) childhood shoes and climbed to the Olympus of sneaker collaborations: as an official co-creator of Nike. The booth transformed into a social experience that actively engaged visitors, encouraged sharing, and became the talk of the ComplexCon.
The booth functioned as a real-time content machine.
With this and additional brand activations around the world's most important hype lifestyle fair – Zellerfeld became synonymous with innovation with a purpose.
The content generated 1.2 billion media impressions and became a click monster on the Nike main channel.
The event’s impact had to extend beyond attendees and connect with audiences everywhere.
