Zellerfeld Sapienz
Zellerfeld (in collaboration with designer Jeff Staple)
Zellerfeld launches the "Sapienz" – the first 3D printed sneaker by New York-based designer Jeff Staple.
The cultural bridge: Jeff's Asian roots, the aesthetics of classic martial arts films, and the global release event at ComplexCon in Hong Kong.
A sneaker drop always needs a cultural narrative – we framed it under the guiding theme: "Kung-Shu – The Martial Art of Presenting Footwear."
Nowhere are feet held up to the camera as often as in iconic martial arts films. The "kick" as a symbol of balance, movement, and control.
"Kung-Shu" translates this spirit into a new visual discipline where style meets precision – and sneaker culture becomes art in motion.
Challenge & Solution
With "Kung-Shu," a sneaker launch became a global cultural moment within the hype target group.
The campaign connected technology, design, and movement into a narrative system – turning the release of the "Sapienz" into a cultural event rather than just a product launch.
Over 250,000 views in 48 hours and international press demonstrate the power of the idea.
On-site, the drop became a real movement with 250+ live reels and hundreds of active participants.
Zellerfeld further establishes that they are not just an innovative shoe tech provider – but a true culture platform where brand, community, and zeitgeist merge.
Launching the first 3D-printed sneaker by Zellerfeld designer Jeff Staple as a global cultural moment, not just a product drop.
We built the narrative around “Kung-Shu”, a cultural story linking martial arts aesthetics with sneaker culture to amplify relevance and buzz.
The entire launch — from planning to execution — had to be delivered in just 14 days.
We used detailed forward planning and tight coordination to execute concepts, assets, and activations within the limited timeline.
